Ogni tanto dovremmo tornare a credere che essere giovani è un pregio, un elemento a favore, e non un ostacolo... soprattutto nel mondo del lavoro! Mi piace pensare che se mia figlia avrà un'idea geniale, a 25 o anche solo a 18 anni, troverà qualcuno che crederà in lei!
Non era il sogno di tutti noi, da piccoletti, diventare dei ragazzi prodigio? Io ero convinta che avrei scritto il mio primo libro a sedici anni e sarei diventata il fenomeno editoriale d'Italia... come potete vedere non è così, ma se qualcuno ha il talento, in qualunque campo, perché no?
Questa è una delle tante storie di talenti scappati dall'Italia, in cerca di opportunità: la storia di Augusto Marietti, Marco Palladino e Michele Zonca, rispettivamente 22, 21 e 28 anni, ricorda un po' quella dei creatori di Facebook. E siamo franchi: se Mark Zuckerberg fosse stato Italiano, probabilmente non avremmo mai ritrovato i nostri compagni delle elementari.
Giovani e promettenti, con un progetto in testa sulle nuove tecnologie, dopo aver cercato invano fondi e sponsor in Italia, hanno deciso di fare il grande passo: hanno guardato oltreoceano, alla culla della new economy, la Silicon Valley. E lì la giovane età è stata finalmente considerata un punto a favore, da persone sicuramente più lungimiranti che nel nostro paese.
Oggi i tre ragazzi hanno fondato e dirigono Mashape, un sito rivolto agli sviluppatori, che consente di creare app in un'ora: a finanziarli con 100.000 dollari, gli investitori di Youtube, che hanno visto al di là delle loro facce da ragazzi, delle scarse attrezzature e delle stanzette dove vivevano all'epoca.
Oggi tornano in Italia, come persone che ce l'hanno fatta. Complimenti!

All of us, in their childhood, wanted to become an enfant prodige. I was sure that I would have written my first book at the age of sixteen becoming the Italian literary stand-out... as you can see it did not happen, but if someone is talented, in any field, why not?
This is one of many stories of talented people escaped from Italy, in search of an opportunity: the story of Augusto Marietti, Marco Palladino e Michele Zonca, 22, 21 and 28 years old, reminds me in some ways the Facebook's creators one. And let's be honest: if Mark Zuckerberg had been Italian, probably we wouldn't have found our first grade schoolmates.
Young and promising, with a new tech project in their mind, after a vain fund research in Italy, decided to make the big pace: they took a look on the other side of the ocean, in the new economy birthplace, Silicon Valley, where finally young age has been considered a pro by people definitively more far-sighted that in our country.
Today, the three guys have founded Mashape, a website for developers, that allows to create an app in one hour: they have been financed with 100,000 dollars by Youtube investors, that saw something beyond their young faces, scarce equipment and poor room they shared at that time.
Now they come back to Italy, as someone who made it. Congratulations!
